Poetry Reading @ British Council Tomorrow

Poets Jane Bhandari and Sudeep Sen will be reading from some of their work which features the monsoon as a recurring theme. Sohail Hashmi presents a range of Urdu and Hindi texts that examine life around the monsoon in North India.

'Ghalib in New Delhi' is a rib tickling comical play with a touch of satire showing ghalib revisiting Delhi. The occupants of his haveli thinks that he is Ghalib's Jinn ( ghost ). And he also finds it difficult to identify with today's fast paced delhi where people can't even pronounce urdu words properly. He tries to adjust with this changed world which is completely different from the delhi he lived in. Will he able to fit himself in this new avatar of delhi? Watch this hilarious play to find out!
