Qutub Festival

The Qutub Festival is back!

This is one of my favourite music festivals because of the venue - to lie on the grass, look at the stars against the shadow of the Qutub Minar, and to hear the rising strains of somebody's voice, a tabla, a sitar, a guitar... to wander off for some hot chaat or halwa or chai, and have the music call you back to its feet. The festival organisers also claim that it is dedicated to the youth of Delhi, which is why there is always one popular fusion band each evening, to go with the classical performance.

I've got 6 (six) free passes to the last Yamaha Roxx gig, on the 30th, to give away. Great gig.

This is a part of the “AT HOME” series by Prospect, to promote original music.

Update:
Transportation: A shuttle Qualis will ply from the IBP petrol pump next the Marriot Welcom Hotel, District Centre, Saket to the venue of the concert.
Timings: 1st trip - 7:00 p.m
2nd trip - 7:30 p.m
3rd trip - 8:00 p.m
Return trips will be made from the venue back to the Marriot Welcome Hotel between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Tips:
1. Allow 10 min of walking to the gig, once at the Garden of Five Senses.
2. Original songs only. Zero's originals are pretty good, and they do improvise. (I have one album, hope to pick up the other two)
3. Ends at 10pm because of govt regulations, and don't expect any favours. It'll start at 8pm.
